Cross-country skiing

Duntroon Highlands and the 26 Km Blueberry Plains and High Dunes Trails System both offer a great selection of groomed trails.

A golf course in summer, Duntroon Highlands make for great Cross-country terrain. Click here for rates and more information on Duntroon Highlands.

The Blueberry Plains and High Dunes trails are located in the 500 hectare Dunes area of Wasaga Beach Provincial Park. This extensive system includes both classical and skating trails, all groomed and well signed.

For Blueberry Trail Conditions call: (705) 429-4455

If ungroomed trails are more to your liking (most serve as hiking/ mountain biking paths during the rest of the year) several nearby areas offer FREE skiing in beautiful forest surroundings.

Snowshoeing

Snowshoeing has been growing in popularity as a great form of exercise for people of all ages. Strap on some snowshoes and you're on your way - over hill or dale. Snowshoes can be rented from many retailers in the Collingwood area; Mary can recommend some.

Snow Tubing

Tobogganing with a little more speed than you remember - up to 60 km/hr on the groomed tracks. Located at the south end of Blue Mountain, TubeTown offers fun for everyone. Cost of a ride includes the use of an inner tube and a lift to the top. Those too timid to tube can enjoy a hot chocolate or a hot dog next to a big fire near the end of the ride.

Dogsledding

Another Canadian tradition. Rob Roy's Petting farm offers hourly and 1/2-day dogsledding adventures, just a short drive from Blue.
