FoxClocks 2 is now available for download at addons.mozilla.org. Feature requests, bug reports and general gossip are very welcome in the comments, but if you’re having a problem, please check the FoxClocks FAQ and search the comments below for a solution before posting. Thanks!
Here’s what’s new in FoxClocks 2:
- Keep up-to-date: automatic time zone database updates
- Behind a firewall? update automatically from your LAN
- Choose the right time zone more easily: new Zone Picker
- Show your clocks in the statusbar/toolbar, just in a tooltip (mouseover), or both
- Style your clocks: bold, italic, etc
- Set your clocks to change colour: e.g. make your clocks green from 9 to 5 local time
- Sort your clocks by name or local time
- Move your FoxClocks settings between computers
Let us know what you think.

I have been using the FoxClocks extension until an update of Firefox to 9.0.1 installed today. Now I don’t see the clocks in any of my Toolbars and when I checked preferences it only shows the Zonepicker (left) and the three clocks that I had previously used (right) but no positional buttons to locate which toolbar to display the clocks in.
Bonjour et Meilleurs Voeux pour 2012.
Merci pour cet excellent outil.
Pouvez vous, s’il vous plaît, mettre les Samoa à la bonne date ?
Cordialement,
Bern
Suggestion: add the different time zones to the Zone Picker.
I would like to search for ‘PST’ in the Zone Picker search box and automatically find it, instead of manually going through ‘Pacific’, then ‘Countries’, then scrolling down until I find a corresponding island.
Reason is: I know a meeting will start at 10h PST. I would like to add this time zone to my foxclocks in order to know when to dial into the meeting.
GMT/UTC is already presented in the list, could all other time zones be added there as well?
I just installed 2.9.35 and it is great, I just love it.
If I use the custom format, I can click all options but nothing is changing,
it always displace the same, on change
I have using Foxclocks on Firefox on Ubuntu 10.10. Since the last update or so of foxclocks, I am unable to change the display to the menu or to 24 hour format. I can select these choices, but there is no button to click that would effect the changes. So, after making the changes, I close the window and no action ensues.
All works fine on my Mac and Win XP machines.
I use Thunderbird for business. FoxClocks is really useful so I can see the time in 5 different zones whenever I send an email or just want to check before calling someone. Very good software.
2 things which could be better:
1) when setting up I found the search un-intuitive. I would like to search by City e.g. Delhi, New York, San Francisco – and get the time zone automaticaly
2) I want to see my local date, but not the date in other time zones. Would be nice to have way to set date on/off clock-by-clock, not globally across all clocks

Could you add some major Russian cities – I’d like to have Saint Petersburg rather than a Russian timezone….
I started using this product for a couple of days and it was great..then without notice and no changes on my part, disappeared. I tried reloading but could not as it said the program was already loaded. When I check it was there but still not showing up on my system. HELP! Thanks,
Gayle
Hi, please could you help me?
I wanted to customize the time format, but I wasn´t succesful.
You have written: Alternatively, you can edit the format directly in the ‘Format’ box.
What I need, it the requested format for year, month, day etc.
for example : , :
I need this script for year, month, day etc.
Thank you.
Dear FoxClocks. Love your product.
Two problems:
1) The display keeps disappearing from the bottom of my Firefox window. The only way to get it to reappear is to open FoxClock tools/options, select a different “Dislpay In” and then re-set to the way I want.
2) My system is showing USA as still on Standard time, even though your watchlist properties shows that Daylight time began on March 13, 2012.
hi folks, also having problem with DST in the US. just downloaded the app, and like the design. but US times are all out of day, -1 hour. the interface to adjust for DST in the current version of the software doesn’t seem to match what i see at http://www.stemhaus.com/firefox/foxclocks/. please advise. adam
Chile Daylight Saving end date was moved from Mar-11 to Apr-29 but not updated in chile timezone parameters. How can I update or I need to wait for an update including this change ?.
Thanks,
Eric.
None of the daylight savings times seem to be reflected – they could be made available thru a different selection (i.e., EST vs. EDT) but I can’t see how to do that. Right now I have to manually modify every timezone, and remember to check exactly what dates each zone moves to daylight savings. Am I missing something?
It would be nice if we could have unique settings for each individual time we have displayed. To put it into context, I have two times displayed; one is the local time, the other is where a friend lives. I want the time, date, and year on the main (local) time but only the time on the other so it won’t take up unnecessary space.
Other than this, I’ve had zero issues with this addon and it serves its purpose very well. Thank you!
Here is what I think of Foxclocks:

FoxClocks does not work with FireFox version 12.0, but worked perfectly with all previous FF versions.
I want AM/PM but I always get military time. Please tell me how to get it to the 12-hour time? I already made a donation. Thank you.
Fox-clocks is one of my favorites in Add-ons. Its really SUPER. But from the time I updated to the latest Beta Version of Firefox, it is not working. Then after sometime it works. Again when another new Beta Version is done, it keeps saying ‘NOT COMPATIBLE’. AFTER THAT, IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO RESTART. I tried everything by clicking your Options, but to no avail. Can you please advice me how to activate it again. Remember I have tried everything. All the best to you and God Bless you in Lord Jesus. Rajan Vairawanathan.
I love foxclocks. I’ve had it for a few years and I use it more and more: I use it to compare/blog times of news items reported in Europe and the Middle East compared with with US east coast time (even though I live in a different part of the US); I’ve learned that UK and GMT can be different because of daylight saving time; foxclocks automatically handles all the complicated rules around the world for daylight saving time.
I very much like the way I can just put my mouse over one of the area foxclock zones at the bottom of the screen and a window appears with all the zones – and I don’t have to click anything – that is a real nice feature.
Thanks for foxclocks.
I’ve had Fox Clocks for a while now and it works great
I’ve used Foxclocks for quite some time and found it to be useful.
I just updated to 2.9.38 and when Firefox was restarted your home-page appeared as normal which is to be expected; but now every time I open Firefox the Fox-Clocks home-page is loaded instead of my normal Home-page even though the “tools-options-general” ‘Home-page’ contains the correct home-page url so for now, I’ve disabled Foxclocks until you’ve solved this issue.
As a usability consultant I can be picky. Fox Clocks is flawless and usable. Need I say more?
@Mike, since FoxClocks uses the Firefox preferences system to know if it’s just been updated, this sounds like it’s your issue:

Hope that helps.
