Here’s what’s new in FoxClocks 2:
- Keep up-to-date: automatic time zone database updates
- Behind a firewall? update automatically from your LAN
- Choose the right time zone more easily: new Zone Picker
- Show your clocks in the statusbar/toolbar, just in a tooltip (mouseover), or both
- Style your clocks: bold, italic, etc
- Set your clocks to change colour: e.g. make your clocks green from 9 to 5 local time
- Sort your clocks by name or local time
- Move your FoxClocks settings between computers
Let us know what you think.

I’d like to set a custom time format, but I don’t know what all the different fields are, ( I have the time, but I’d also like to show the date). Maybe the faq could be updated?
Any chance of getting an Isle of Man flag please?
Wow, this extension is just amazing. This is a must extension for me when i install firefox.
Please keep updating it and keep making it better.
My son is half a world away. Foxclocks is just a little reminder of where he is in his daily life.
I love foxclocks.. I use personas addon with firefox and changes thelook of it but makes the font color of foxclocks where cant been seen… is way to change the font color? or you working on add it as option when i have dark look cant read it cause its the black font.
I love foxclocks! it is definately a really great programme and comes in very handy! would definately donate to your further development, etc. if I could..keep up the great work!! Kind Regards..Chris Renn
FoxClocks is very helpful to me because I have friends all over the world whom I’m in contact with by telephone. An appropriate time to call is always an issue. Very helpful indeed.
Brilliant tool. Nice and compact and doesn’t dominate the screen like some other world clocks, and allows me to let relatives in other parts of the world escape middle of the night calls!
Thank you.
Thank you, helps me keep track of 4 time zones I use constantly
This extension is just SUPERB…well done!!!
When I try to watch Live Tennis…to compere the time zones it’s very easy to do…thank You!!!
feature request/wishlist:
it would be good if foxclock can show in both toolbar and status bar.
I guess that’s easy to implement. but it’s really a useful feature to me.
I am working 14 hours away from Chicago, and I like the fact that I don’t have to do the math in my head, plus figure daylight savings time. When I send emails, I just look at the bottom of Firefox and check to see when I can possibly get a response because people are probably sleeping at that time.
Keep adding more stuff and handy extras, it sure can’t hurt to have more options, thanks to whomever took the time for all of us to benefit. Good idea~!
I maintain a blog on the Weather Underground weather service. I also keep check on the weather in many places around the world. FoxClocks helps to to know the correct time for the places that I check as well as reference the UTC time relative to the other time zones I work with. Saves time in that I don’t have to recalculate the correct time for each time zone.
Good app. However the time displayed is 7 minutes late.
I’m in California and my son and his wife are in Japan. Foxclocks (in both Firefox and Thunderbird) tells me at a glance what day (it’s almost ALWAYS “tomorrow” in Japan) and time it is there so that I can orient myself and my messaging in both timezones. Thank you, FoxClocks!
After an update, the changelog opens in the first tab instead of new one. If I’m reloading a stored session, this replaces the content of the tab with foxclocks information.
Other than that, fantastic extension. Thanks.
Its one of the most helpful add on I use since today.
I can see whole world time, when ever I want, and its instant.
Thanks to the FoxClocks2.
Where is San Francisco? And please don’t say “California.” It does not appear under N America Cities although many more arcane places do!
I am required to work with people in locations around the world and foxyclocks is absolutely fantastic as a quick and easy tool to use to find out what time it is in their location. I’ve got several different locations pulled out and they save so much time. Thanks for such a fantastic plugin!
I love the FoxClocks add-on. I am currently deployed to Afghanistan and I can tell when it is the right time to call back home and talk to my family in Illinois. It is GREAT!! Thanks and keep updating it to make a very good thing even better!!!
I think this is a great app and very useful
In my humble opinion, I absolutely LOVE it. I’m sometimes forgetful of alot of things. So it helps keep my mind in check when remembering timezones outside of Firefox (say I’m in the car, or just having some personal or random thoughts)
Thanks for all the kind words!
Andy
why does watch list time format does not follow system setting ?
i prefer international format.
It still isn’t showing my ZA flag under 3.5b5, although it shows just fine under 3.0.10. I’ve tried setting it to a custom flag, but 3.5 (and 3.1 before it) just won’t show it. Thought this might fix it.
Not a deal breaking issue.
It’s just a splash of color against all the other blue icons I have on the status bar…
Please add an Isle of Man flag.
Bull’s Eye! FoxClocks is exactly what I was looking for. No annoying gimmicks! Proceed like this, please.
On the list of countris, Cape Verde, in Africa, is missing (the capital of Cape Verde is Praia, also missing from cities). Thanks, this is a great tool!
Just Love this …software …few software you see, install it and forget it. Few software you see, install it and Use it ..foxclock is one among those software …Good Job ….
great little add on. but the custom time colour doesn’t seem to work, it stays the same no matter what time it is.
This is a great add-on. When will you create FlockClock for the Flock Browser?
Thank you for this great add-on. I didn’t realize when I first installed it how much I would come to depend on it, but I use it all the time almost without thinking. Hands down best clock, mostly because of how unobtrusive it is.
Foxclocks is AWESOME!
However, I have a Q?
I set my clocks to (Military time) 24hr format, but when I place *accept*.. it reverts back to the 12 standard time >.<
I don’t really like 12hrs time… can you assist, or send me a link to a solution?
Thanks!
love the fox clocks. very helpful at work. talk to UK, Guam, Australia, EST-PST, all the time.
Spectacular! I just love this add on. My parents & sister live in different part of the world. This is really becoming handy to knock their phones and I don’t need to count the hours amongst us…
there seems to be an issue whereby the digits of the time are cut off, could this be a Theme Realted issue? (Theme Foxdie Blue 3.0.3) Screenshot Attached, thanks!

Thanks for FoxClocks! I quickly became dependent on it. I live in the Central Time Zone and deal with our factory in Japan and our offices in the UK and Germany on a daily basis. It is great to have the ‘local’ time there at a glance. What a convenient tool!
Please keep updating it as well.
I appreciate your attention to these apps.
Customer Format param: “”
it show in EDT like: “-04:00″, which is too long, maybe format “H” is more perfect.
string can’t show in comments?
Your application is not what I wanted. I’m not interested in 2 of the 3 time zones given and had to reset it every time I logged onto FB. Now I want to remove it and can’t. Please help by giving uninstal directions.
Thanks
doesn,t work at my firefox 3.0.10
love the fox clocks. very helpful at work. talk to UK, Guam, Australia, EST-PST, all the time.
why is san francisco on the list otherwise love foxclocks
FoxClocks with Thunderbird – Hide the clocks in the message windows (F.A.Q).
I do need to display the clocks on the status Bar of the main GUI.
I do not need to display the clocks in every message windows I open.
What’s the setting in FoxClocks (I found none) or in the TB config. file
NB: This could be added to the FAQ – what do you think?
See previous post: FoxClocks with Thunderbird – Hide the clocks in the message windows (F.A.Q).
If you’re having a problem with FoxClocks, please check the FoxClocks FAQ at http://www.stemhaus.com/firefox/foxclocks/news/foxclocks-faq/; if that doesn’t help, just head over to the FoxClocks News site: http://www.stemhaus.com/firefox/foxclocks/news/2006/11/17/foxclocks-20/ and post your issue there. Thanks!
I see many comments but no answer from the developer. Is there a follow up? thanks.
Distinguishing between clocks on the message window and the main window is fairly low-priority, I’m afraid.

Any chance we get a week of the year option that would be great
Love foxclocks, nice work.
What would really rock is a meeting planner, where you can see the relative time in all your chosen timezones side-by-side at a particular date in the future. Something like the world time server meeting planner:
http://www.worldtimeserver.com/meeting-planner.aspx
For example:
http://www.worldtimeserver.com/meeting-planner-times.aspx?&L0=UTC&L1=US-NY&L2=GB&L3=RU-MOW&L4=SG&Day=4&Mon=2&Y=2010
This would really help when trying to plan a conference call across a number of timezones.
Can we please get an option to disable the tooltip entirely? Adding and removing things from it is great and all. I frequently alt+tab and get stuck with the tooltip hanging up on my screen and its very annoying. Also in my case I never use the tooltip and prefer the few timezones I need access to just displayed at all times in the statusbar. Being able to disable the tooltip would be a nice addition.
Otherwise love this, thank you!
I had a version of Foxclocks that would not update. Kept getting an error message. Got annoyed with it and hoped that uninstalling and reinstalling the latest version would fix the problem. Bad move. Now I can’t install Foxclocks at all.
This is on an office machine. At home with same system (windows xp) and same version of Firefox (the latest). Maybe a firewall issue? Is it possible to save the Foxclocks file to a thumb drive and install from there?
